We gave a live hip hop show on our school with songs like “HARDCORE MILITARY” and “DEMOLITION”. Beats were made on the Drum-Computer KORG DDD5. Although we had not yet discovered the use of samples, the beats came out with a new and fresh military flavour.1988 – 15 Years oldI continued making them beats with Al-rap-1 one of the members of “Rational Beat Creators” (who is now still active in the Rap world as “DAAN-B”) under the group name of “VIGILANTE”. We still used the Drum-computers but were slowly getting active and familiar with the AMIGA 500 using programmes like noise-tracker and pro-tracker. These new programmes enabled us to really get into the sampling business which also boosted our sound. The quality was not that great though as we still needed to get more experience into fine tuning the volumes of our sound.1989 – 16 Years oldAl-rap-1 and me knew that it was time to get more serious, so we launched our first Semi-professional group and named it “Taking Care Of Business”. With T.C.O.B. we started to perform as much as we could and slowly we were getting more known in the rap industry. We proudly made our first Demo CD called “Da Brotherhood” which had 16 tracks.1990 – 17 Years oldWe started to make beat for friends and saw that there was and actually there still is a great shortness in Hip Hop Beat Creators. We decided to start producing and to help MC’s with starting up there love and passion for rap. So...next to our own group T.C.O.B. we launched “MARLI-BROWN Productions”. MB productions grew very fast and within a years time we produced around 30 artists such as :1. THE STRANGLER6. 9OC7. MIM8. PEARL9. MC GENERAL (We created and composed his CD which was sold in 16 countries)10. WHATEVER1992 – 19 Years oldAl-rap-1 and me decided to split up as a production. He continued producing under the name “KINGS IN BLACK” and I continued producing under “SNIPER PRODUCTIONS”. We still kept tight relations and listened to each-other’s creations but we felt like we had outgrown each-other’s style and we both wanted to develop our own style further.1994 - 21 Years oldAfter two years Al-rap-1 changed his rap identity in DAAN-B. We talked about the dutch rap that was growing in the Netherlands hip hop scene and decided to try and create some dutch rap songs. Out of this project grew the rap group 'COALITIE'. We made 9 songs and discovered that many rappers were amazed by how we made a totally new sound in Nederhop.1996/2002 - 28 Years oldBetween this period of time, many things changed. Daan-B has his own production called 'Justforme Productions' and I still continue under my very own 'Sniper Productions'. It has now been 11 years that I carry the Rap name SNIPER. In the last 16 years I have made some over 200 beats and 150 lyrics and now in the year 2002 I am still active in the world of rap.
