I was born and raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana the year being 1981. I was one of four kids living in a single parent household. I am the first born male, but the third oldest of two sisters Lesley and Mashariki. I also have a younger brother named Isaiah. Our backbone is are mother Bernice. She has raised us to our full potential and been our strength through our hard times. I became focused in writing poetry during my second year in middle school. English was becoming my worst subject in school and poetry helped me understand it more. My vocabulary improved drastically and affected my work in a positive way. With poetry I could make sense of many areas of life. First I wrote about relationships and attractions, and then later I wrote about the issues that affected the world. In high school the only people I knew were the guys I played sports with and the people I grew up with on the streets. I hung with my graduating class, but I was always with the upperclassmen while in school. I believe only a select group of people probably got to know me. The guys I played sports with kept me out of trouble, while my hood crew kept me up with the streets. Anybody who knew that side of me witnessed my live wire personality. I am a very competitive player in sports and any game concept I understand. My other personality is very observant. I comprehend other?s matters and listen to react better to things I do not understand. That approach helped me get close to women. While many guys are quick to holla at women without knowing them I simply observe who they are, what they like, and make my move after the other men make there mistakes. I knew if I wanted to make it to college that I would have to make sacrifices. Being down with everyone was not a process in reaching my goals so I said no to many pressures that others fell to. Many of my hood friends were involved in some type of criminal mischief while growing up so I did my best to stay out of it. If I did not there was no way I would have got into college, or at least a good one. Also I kept my sex life a secret to secure my virginity. It is a bad concept for a man to be a virgin and if anyone knew the truth they would have forced me into the situation before I was ready. Many of my friends started having sex early and ended up having children before graduating high school. Of those who did have children only a few furthered their education after high school. Now that I look back I realized how lucky I was because sex is addictive. Sex is a drug that has changed or will change everyone through some point of time. Being young without proper knowledge of sex can cause many different types of life changing events to concur. I viewed Hollywood?s models, actresses, and singers as my girlfriends back then. I always had some sort of girlfriend since I was little, but my first kiss was in high school. Ms. Bates became my first serious relationship where there was more than just talk and smiles. It came to a point where she wanted to have sex, as well myself, but when I told her I loved her she did not feel the same way. Needless to say it took some time before I found my first love. There was less of a need for me to be hood after I reached college. Being at a private college I became a minority along side many black students. I had my head in the right direction far as school because I knew about many things. I chose to become a marketing major because I wanted to be in charge of everything. I could have gone into computers or other easier fields of study, but I wanted to run things. I was the type of student that never studied very hard, but crammed for tests in high school. My mind would wonder because the work I did was not of interest to me. Going into college my study habits changed, but my mind wondering did not. I found ways to study for every class and make passing grades, but every hour I spent studying I spent like another hour daydreaming about the world or women. During that period of my life I met a woman that was destine for me. She too knew the struggles and sacrifices it takes to fulfill your dreams to make it in college. We both had dreams of our ideal mate and ended up finding each other. Everything else about us is an endless story book tale coming to you soon. As of right now I have completed 1 ? years in college, and I still plan on completing my remaining years. I have found writing as my way to accomplish my dreams I desire. My personalities are split into two different formats one being with books and poetry and the other with CDs and rap. My future plans consist of having two well established homes in America along with four kids by a future wife. My dream is to perform at poetry night clubs around those areas every day of the week to reach people and influence them to steer in the right path of the Lord.
