5'7'' ELEMENT RESIDENT OF NEW JERZ Born Angel Laureano in Rio Piedras Puerto Rico,then moving to Bayamon Puerto Rico where he went to school.It didn't take very long for the young Laureano to get influenced by music.Being around it all the time,wether it was at house parties,fiestas patronales(city festivals) or just waking up to it when his mother would start cleaning the house on saturday mornings.But it wasn't until the early 80's when break dancing came to P.R.that Laureano started taking interest in rhyming in english.He was often around trovadores(people who would improvise lyrics acompanied by someone playing the guitar.It's what we would call freestyle).At 15 Laureano moved to Orlando FL. where he started picking up more of the english language.He understood it being that he lived in the bronx when he was very young,but moved back to P.R. after his grandfather passed away.He would rewrite other peoples lyrics ,just put in his words with the same flow.It started out as just playing around until he heard the other kids around the neighborhood doing it in the street.He thought to himself 'I can do this too',but never really did because he was afraid he had too much of an accent and they would make fun of him.It wasn't until he came to New Jersey that he got open.After living in Florida for a year he came to live in New Jersey for the first time.Living in Hightstown,NJ., where he attended high school,He met Power Just(an up an coming D.J.)and Silky Smooth(producer/D.J.) Just and Laureano would get together after school and work on music.They didn't have much money to spend on equipment so they would improvise.What ever was around that recorded, that's what they used.After a year in high school he met another up and coming MC.His name was KB.KB was known around for being a ill lyricist.They worked on solo projects but still formed a group called KAOZ MASSIVE.Together with other local MC's.SELF,SILKY SMOOTH DON CHI AND POWER JUST.Everyone went their own ways but still keeping in touch.Now solo LAUREANO is trying to shine and make his name known everywhere and anywhere they listen to hip hop.Linking up with producer Sy Castro he is sure to do just that.Keep your eyes open for this MC,he's coming hot.
